long time no see. i'm obsessed with malware now..
what the hell hello!! it has been a long time. i've decided to start using this website again instead of leaving it to rot and die forever.. which means potentially actually finishing the website O_o (don't hold your breath though)
i will speak about this a lot more in depth in a blogpost tomorrow probably, but i'm insanely paranoid that i have malware on my pc right now (i literally do not i've inspected every possible process and there is no unusual gpu/cpu/network activity) so i've been slowly digging myself deeper and deeper into a malware rabbithole.. and as scared of it as i am, it's kind of interesting actually! i've been watching a lot of youtube videos by this guy john hammond, specifically the ones where he deobfuscates and does investigations into malware submitted by viewers. i really wish i got into this sort of stuff. and i know "it's not too late rah rah" .. i fear it is too late. i have little patience for this sort of thing nowadays. but i love learning about all the little quirks and ways that the creators try to slide under the radar of windows defender or other antivirus programs. i saw one where they used pshome to spell out iex instead of typing it out so it wouldn't get flagged :sob: and then the script they wanted to pull was a png file, except it obviously wasnt a png file and was just pure b64... like how does someone even avoid this??
luckily i am not stupid enough to click on rando links, visit rando websites, or download rando shit so i've never run into malware! but i am very glad that my old shitty compaq laptop from when i was 7 got reset and is rotting somewhere because i cannot fucking IMAGINE what was festering on that damn thing.
but yeah! just wanted to sort of revive this and make my presence known. this malware paranoia shit is taking over my life so it's the only thing i can think of to talk about, but i have a lot of other things i want to write about too! so i look forward to this!! and if you have any advice on how not to be a paranoid freak ... refer to contact email on homepage and let me know pleeeeeeeeease i am so sick of this shit!
